my kids dont understand the concept of entertainment that isnt on demand. like at all. even if its one of the rare occasions we will put something on FTA tv they act like why cant i just watch it later, they simply dont comprehend the idea that you have to watch/listen to somethng at specified times otherwise you miss it

there was a post on reddit over the weekend around a current political issue (upcoming referendum vote) on a clearly photoshopped/stock image of ballot paper, but all the 'No' voter comments were filled with commentary on the users handwriting being 'childish', followed by heaps of upvotes. overseas trolls exposed so blatently easily they couldnt tell what was a joke and what wasnt, despite the polls indicating 'no' is ahead, really made it obvious how the overwhelming position online of 'no' is driven in a great bulk by overseas influence (hi russia/china)

the lack of expected noises in a lot was pretty confronting too. it's not always like the movies with people screaming their guts out, those were the ones that stuck with me

i hope the guy is truly rehabilitated and is getting the ongoing treatment he needs.

nah I prefer them to leave. before covid the post here was notorious for not knocking, and dropping a card meaning you had to go to a post office and collect it in person, but only during business hours, you had to line up behind all the old people who paid bills at the post office, finally get your chance and if you are lucky they would find your parcel, but usually either way they would make out like you are being the biggest inconvenience in the world.

these days they drop and scan, sometimes knock, sometimes not, but it doesn't matter. havnt had a theft ever

I'm a bit late to the party but just watched Don't Look Up for the first time. Wow! satire done well. a little too well. I missed a lot of the hype and didn't think it would be memorable but it's one of the best movies I've seen all year
