edit: judging by the amount of downvotes ive either pissed off all the Bachelor of Arts grads working as baristas or all the coffee snobs who still think making coffee is some sort of art that can only be done by the most highly trained baristas. Yes, I also love coffee. No, making it is not some sort of complicated thing which is the point of this post (and topic of this thread), and no, I am not disparaging anyone working as a barista (unless they are an Arts grad, sorry) because a job is a job and all jobs deserve respect

ebay is where you go for aliexpress junk that you might find from a local seller instead if you need it sooner. that's about it. once in a Bluemoon a sale coincides with prices not being jacked and you can get a slight bargain (in the last year I managed to get a Bass at a good price and some bike tyres) but other than that just cheap junk is all it's good for

this is intriguing. I'm dying on the hill that Hans never started out evil, there's literally no indication at all in the first half of the movie and some of his actions prove the opposite. absolutely. most water systems are relatively efficient due to gravity doing most of the work but desal removes that advantage

Desal itself isnt really that hard, its very similar tech to regular wastewater treatment. What it is though is energy intensive, because the desalinated water starts its life at the lowest altitude and must be pumped up network to be gravity fed like regular water sources. very energy intensive
