  • Yeah, it's a really nice alternate heat, that gets up more into your nostrils. I also like some nice sliced fermented carrots and jalapenos, fermented together gives a nice flavor melding.

This was definitely an eating ribeye, but I keep an eye out for inexpensive ribeyes that I slice up and freeze for cheese steaks, stir fry, tacos, etc.

  • Yeah, I've been waiting for them to get the APU on a smaller process. I'm assuming they did that, to be able to cool it in this much smaller chassis. The launch version was just way too big, too bad it's still ugly.

  • Before anyone complains about radish, a lot of taco places in Tucson have sliced radishes at the salsa bar.

Man, I have a nice ribeye in the oven for a reverse sear, but now I just want nachos. Those look great!

  • CardDAV in the built in contacts app without installing Evolution, just to configure functionality that is there without Evolution. People have been begging for years, and submitted unaccepted code, but Gnome devs are going to Gnome dev.

  • I've been seeing this company pop up lately, so I finally checked out their offerings. Do they just routinely announce new, diverse products, only to be never revisited with a new revision? All their AMD laptops seem to be no newer than 2 generations old. Their Intel mini PC has a 5 generation old CPU. Their AMD mini PC has an option between 3 generations old, or a higher end 2 generations old CPU.

Did they hire a bunch of ex-Googlers, or something? Seeing a lack of dedication to their products pretty much immediately erases any intrigue I had.

  • Honestly, I doubt it at this point. There's far too much reliance on Linux for first party PaaS services in Azure. They even let employees Intune join Linux machines, though I understand distribution choice is very limited.

  • There's way too much emphasis on a few songs from each artist that seem to make them more money, or are otherwise pushed by the record companies. AI or not, if it gets me deeper tracks in my daily mixes and artist radios, I'll pay the extra for that and lossless.

  • Hell, even if you don't travel. You never know when something nasty is going to get loose on your network. Especially since most folks have some IoT things, and don't bother to properly isolate them.

  • No, it's a dangerous, generalized statement that if you're against what the far right is doing, you have to align with what we stand for. If not, you're the far right. That is literally what it's saying, and folks might add on some stuff in their head when they interpret it, or some additional hidden intention when they utter it. But ultimately, it will distill down to the literal meaning.

  • Yes, everyone who doesn't align with your political view is facist. That in itself doesn't sound facist at all, does it?

We need to not just be careful about what some horrible people are doing right now, but also about what we become as we react to it.
