The Shivering Isles is by far the best part of the game. It really is a shame that the expansion is so huge that it would take the team probably a nearly equal amount of time to finish it.
It isn't the same, not by a long shot. And the whole "where else can you buy new cars from" thing is exactly the problem. Dealerships are independent businesses that have deals with manufacturers. There are many shady laws that keep people dealerships in business and price out, or completely prohibit someone trying to buy directly from the manufacturer, which would greatly reduce cost.
This version allowed me to do the heaviest image editing I've ever dine with ease. Granted I might have a leg up here because I've never touched PhotoShop, only GIMP, so the learning curve was very small for me.
It's cool to have the CD case ,but you don't want that version (even the Diamond edition) since it is mossing a lot of bug fixes and more importantly content that the enhanced edition has. The multi-player on the original version also doesn't work anymore since it relied on GameSpy.
The Enhanced Edition rocks. It comes with everything official ever made for it, along with some of the user made content. The multi-player works, and amazingly well at that! I can't say enough good things about this version of the game.
DualShock line is also plug and play at least with Steam, so I'd imagine that. They'd just have to deal with the occasional lazy port where the buttons show up as Xbox buttons in the game.
Elan.school is a very rough and long read. It's fantastic, but one should know that there are very heavy topics involved and it certainly isn't for everyone.
