As a machinist that also happens to be a trans woman, the last bit of this is incredibly spot on. I've said no to a lot of business due to the customer wanting to take some kind of tour of my shop beforehand, to which I said no to simply to stay safe both in professional reputation, and physically.
I wholeheartedly and respectfully disagree. Social media focuses on following individuals, not topics. There is no incentive to follow or be followed on a forum, and being pseudonymous really kills the "social network" part of that definition.
That might be true if any human could reasonably ask a question there now. Ask a question, and you are likely going to see it removed for a variety of reasons.
I feel like this really needs to be said. OCD != being meticulous to detail. It isn't "omg this spreadsheet is in the wrong order," it is more like "I can't fail to flick the light swith 3.5 times when I enter a room. I know that the switch gets left midway, but that is how I will obsessively leave it. If you change it, I will put it back to everyone's detremint."
Just so you know in the future, that method of painting is called airbrushing, and the whole setup is called an airbrush.
