  • It’s proportional, as in how much of a spike it is on the countries average daily deaths.

Not that it matters. It became obvious that using “one 9/11” as a unit of measurement was no longer shocking a few months into 2020.

  • Probably so they could keep an eye on the toenails on the non-operating foot.

There’s a reason they tell you not to wear nail polish before surgery. The nailbeds are one of the best ways to detect cyanosis caused by low oxygen levels in blood.

I’d imagine a “control foot” is probably preferential, and it’s easier to keep an eye on the other foot during surgery than it is to keep an eye on their fingernails.

  • Are physical keyboards a must? What about something like a Fairphone running Ubuntu Touch?

Or, for that matter, what is driving the need for Linux? Could it be satiated with an android device and/or x2go to a self- or cloud-hosted Linux desktop VM/VPS

  • Even as it is now, I could see it being good for some kids.

I certainly could’ve benefitted from a guided, fully-self-paced curriculum. I was bored off my ass in high school.

Like this, you could teach an entire high school and have a teacher:student ratio of like 1:200. Really just need SMEs annd a big computer lab, and that’s it.

But it’s definitely not for everyone. Most kids need more hands-on, especially with new topics. And there has to be human oversight (humans writing exams/quizzes and intervening if the AI is incorrect or ineffective).
