  • The problem with claiming the opposite, are things like Patton's pretty much spot on prediction of the attack, the fact that intelligence at the time was routed through Washington, with capability to break the Japanese codes, or the still not declassified documents relating some pre-attack intercepts.

It all suggests that Roosevelt, and/or his staff, had all the pieces to figure out what was going to happen. Whether they didn't, or did and decided to do nothing, and the lack of proof either way... is what makes the conspiracy theory keep being a possible conspiracy theory. 🤷

  • They said it earlier on the news.

First there were requests for Egypt to open their borders in order to let humanitarian aid into Gaza... to which Egypt said "the fuck no, we don't want Palestinians coming into Egypt".

So next was a request for Egypt to open just a humanitarian corridor into Gaza... to which Hamas said "the fuck no, we don't want Palestinians leaving Gaza". 🤦

Last news I've heard, is that some planes are getting packed with humanitarian aid at an Egyptian airfield, to fly into Gaza and only deliver the aid... because neither Egypt nor Hamas want any of the people in there to leave (hopefully some might jump onto the planes anyway).

Hamas is supposedly also stopping anyone from heeding Israel's 24h ultimatum to leave northern Gaza, however laughable that is to evacuate over a million people on such a short notice.

Israel would likely let everyone out... as long as they went "out out", as in to some other country, not to Israel.

  • LW has some communities which are quite non-freespeech, with rules like "we can remove and ban anything against the rules or not" (see !world), and some which use their rules arbitrarily as excuses for removing content that doesn't match their ideology (see !politicalmemes).

  • There are some commonly used emails by most domain owners, like: info, webmaster, security, reports, sales, etc. Some people also set their email with a catch-all address, so if someone sends an email to "cat.in.tights", they'll get it too.
