I see. So far the only thing I've minded is that I don't understand the titles. Do you mind telling me what 196 means? I get that it's a Lemmy community. But why 1, 9, and 6?
Edit: I visited the page and the community info wasn't any help. I did follow the rule, though. Neat idea.
What? I've never seen a metal 2L bottle. I've only seen plastic. I don't believe compatibility "worldwide" is the reason at all. 2L plastic bottles haven't changed in the USA for at least 30 years.
So, I am now testing with Google's Gboard, and the problem doesn't seem to be happening anymore. Still annoying for users of open board, which there may be a few of. Jerboa is the only app giving me this issue. Slide and Mastodon didn't have this problem. Thanks for listening to my rant.
Interesting. The only tap water than I've had in America with taste came from homes that had their own wells, like my mother's. Her water used to have a slight egg/sulfur smell before she got a whole home filter. Interestingly, though - on days that it didn't smell, everyone thought it tasted really good.
Haha, I never thought of it that way but yes. 2L sodas are the most common, but I've also seen 1L and 3L bottles. I've seen 500mL and 750mL liquor as well. I can't think of anything else that uses metric units. Milk comes in gallons, pints, or quarts for instance.
Technically correct, but the new version is so much better. It leaves the old one in the dust. I wish they'd make an official release for PC, though. I'd like to try it out.
Which version of the app are you using? I have 3 Lemmy accounts, and one of them was doing this (or something similar) for me in 0.37. I would log in fine, but if I switched to another account and back, it would say "anonymous" and I kept getting "network error."
But I got version 0.38 from f-droid today and that problem and several other ones I had are gone. (Although, I did have to log out totally and back in on that account to fix it.)
