  • What kind of mentality is this? Don't we all want the Fediverse to grow and succeed? Don't you want more apps for the Fediverse to spur adoption? And what is so wrong with it being exclusive to iOS? What do you say about Android exclusive apps then? Fuck them too? Aight listen, I'm a GrapheneOS user. I have been on Android exclusively for the last decades and I'm so sick of this attitude. You Android elitists are so utterly anhedonic. You tire me out. Grow the f up up and let people enjoy what they want geez.

  • I recommend sticking to GOS. If you'd like to use something else, I'd recommend DivestOS. CalyxOS, LineageOS, /e/OS and iodéOS are all significant downgrades in usability, privacy and security and therefore not worth using on a Pixel.

  • I really don't like this update. Dark mode is now a different, darker color which I'm not too fond of. My muscle memory is completely useless. Viewing server members is now all the way up at the top instead of being conveniently behind a swipe. Swiping between tabs is weird (it's not really swiping between tabs, it's more like the back button Android already has, so it's redundant). The activities menu at the top is a waste of space. The search function is harder to use now, you have to click a little button at the top to filter your search results. Chat pins also don't show image, links, or file previews now. Plus, Discord Mobile and desktop shared a similar user experience, so anyone could just pick up from the desktop version and be able to figure it out very quickly, now you can't do that anymore. So much functionality and convenience just completely gone now. This might be the worst update I've ever seen for a messaging app, and it's not even close.

  • I ordered a Japanese Poke Bowl once. It was rather pricey but holy fuck it was good. I don't remember the exact ingredients, but I think it was sushi rice, mushrooms, dried shallots, salmon, fermented quail eggs,... Don't remember the veggies but man the combination of flavors and textures was just chef's kiss
