I totally agree with everything you said, and I know that it will never ever happen. Power is used to get more power. Those in power will never give it up, only seek more. They intentionally frame the narrative to make the more ignorant among us believe that the tech is the issue rather than the people that own the tech.

The only way out of this loop is for the working class to rise up and murder these cunts en masse

I made myself a wiki in my helpdesk system - I use osticket to send me various email alerts to so I can track issues I need to fix, and they have a little wiki option.

Then one day that host was down and I needed some info and I was very irritated. Now all of those notes are in my Apple notes backed up in iCloud and searchable on whatever I’ve got handy so if I need info I can get the info

100% tax on anything past 100 million or 100% of their head gets lopped off. That's still an absurd amount of money for you and your family. Put the rest into growing your businesses and thus the economy, or give it to Uncle Sam for some socialized healthcare and UBI instead.

My exact same thought process and why I'm here on lemmy.world as well. Once they get the server setup process more streamlined (hopefully dockerized) I'll probably setup my own private use server, but until I get around to that project I wanted to pick one that didn't seem like it would vanish once the guy hosting it started getting those hosting bills.
