I think of tui as "text user interface" and use it as a broad category but mostly for more advanced clis that have a graphical quality to them despite being text based, such as ranger or slack-term. Some tuis even have mouse controls!

A cli is a ui. I know that's pedantic but this is Linux memes

Ui designers should not presume people are familar with the ui. That's not design.

It's is not either or. Also good cli require an eye for design just like gui. Lots of cli suck because there is no eye.

Good, though more of a WordPress alternative. I'd like to see actual substack alternative in the fediverse, with the ability for users to pay authors for their work, via subscription, as substack does.

I know people are worried about monetization in the fediverse but authors need payment for their work. Subscriptions don't have the same perverse incentives as advertising.

We really need solid integrated with activity pub applications. There is activity pods but I haven't seen any actual platform integrate it properly.
