I'm not aware of a comparable community. !memes@hexbear.net, !leftymemes@lemmy.dbzer0.com, and !memes@lemmygrad.ml would all welcome that sort of content but aren't specific to it. Given that midwest.social is home to one large specific meme community in !lotrmemes@midwest.social, it may be a good fit to start one here.

Instances can create a database of images that can be called like emotes using :custom-emote: style formatting. Hexbear has developed a massive number of them and their use is a big part of site culture.

I don't know why Hexbear's numbers are all blank (because it's newly federated?) but I would expect it to take second or third place.
