  • My XR that I bought on launch was still going strong in its third year, until I dropped it in a lake. Only 20 cm deep, for 3 seconds, but it was enough to kill the screen :( I would probably still have it if that didn’t happen.

  • OG Xbox is pretty easy to restore, would recommend that you do it soon. Some models have a battery that will leak. Also get thermal paste remover, the paste they used on the thing is more gum than paste. I could not remove it with alcohol or anything else, it was hell. Maybe also replace the fan with a more quiet fan. I had a lot of fun restoring it, really worth it!
