Why would you want an infotainment system in your car? I don't get it. All I want when I'm driving is navigation and music/podcast, and I can just use my phone for both
Living together with others for eternity is one of my worst nightmares. One of the reasons for that is that many people are total dicks. Have you ever shared a house with someone who doesn't know how to clean a toilet or that you can't leave dishes in the sink and wait for them to clean themselves magically?
Generally not a lot, less than Spotify I think. They do have a slightly different system though, I can't remember the details. I think if you listen to a specific artist more than others, they will get more money from your subscription fee or something like that
Mint is a safe bet, I would also suggest you have a look at Pop! OS and CachyOS once you feel a bit more comfortable with Linux and are curious at all. They have a bit more cool stuff to offer that you don't really get from windows imho
I'm using Pop and I've definitely had fewer problems than using Windows, and while I've tried others in the past that have been pretty fiddly (looking at you Ubuntu), there hasn't been a single thing that any normal user wouldn't have been able to deal with so far
Why shouldn't they have long term benefits for researchers?
Reminds me a bit of when CRISPR got big, people were worried to no end about potential dangers, designer babies, bioterrorism ("everybody can make a killer virus in their garage now") etc. In reality, it has been a huge leap forward for molecular biology and has vastly helped research, cancer treatment, drug development and many other things. I think machine learning could have a similar impact. It's already being used in development of new drugs, genomics, detection of tumours just to name a few
Cool, thank you!
