  • Best case scenario, it just moves the pollution around from one factory to another. It doesn’t really limit anything.

And the whole concept of lowering your carbon footprint to be able to sell the margin you have left to someone else is ridiculous.

Reducing the carbon footprint or limit pollutants from entering the environment often involves significant investment. You can’t just make your factory magically cleaner.

Believe it or not, properly disposing of chemicals is expensive! Most polluting happens because companies are trying to save money by dumping chemicals rather than disposing of them properly. Same with maintaining scrubbers or other air filtration systems.

This is the whole reason the EPA exists! To make it painfully expensive to pollute.

  • Why the fuck is Lindsey Graham in Ukraine? Why are the tax payer’s footing the bill for him to travel to another country? What is Trump’s lapdog senator doing in Europe? Who the fuck cares what this dipshit thinks.

  • The democrats want to keep tue government funded and to do so, agreed to pass a Republican bill for border control. As part of this bill they tried to address a few issues, albeit poorly. And the Republicans shot the bill down because daddy orange cheeto threw a hissy fit and didn’t want the President to get credit for implementing their shitty immigration bill before the election.

Tell me how this is the Democrats fault?

The real issue is that both parties are right of center and are generally pandering to their rich corporate donors. The difference is that Democrats occasionally try to do something good for the people, or at least make it appear that way.

They are just terrible at optics and believe they are taking the high road by not throwing mud at their Republican opponents. The media is bought and paid for and used by their Republican overlord to promote shitty journalism and spread their propaganda.

  • You are missing the point and getting lost in policy issues. Unfortunately, none of it matters in the short term because congress is severely dysfunctional, so any policy issue at this point will either be blocked or filibustered by the Republicans.

The real issue is addressing campaign finance, citizens united, and tax laws that allow the wealthy to pay essentially nothing.

But we all know those are not going to change anytime soon since it benefits the corporate overlords. The government works for the corporate interests, big banks, wall st, and the military industrial complex.

Any other social or political issues are just used to divide and distract from the real issues. Until the dysfunction and corruption in the government is addressed, not much will change.

All of these articles about specific policies, the wars which we are involved, and any other bullshit are simply devised to distract and divide people into the predictable red team vs blue team dichotomy. None of it matters.
