I think what you are missing is that ALL POLITICIANS currently represent corporate interests. That is the real issue in the US. you have just been brainwashed to believe that “liberals” and “democrats” are the problem.

Unfortunately, politics is not as simple as football. It’s a bit more nuanced than my team has to win every time and other team has to lose. When politicians create this divide, we all lose. Corporate interests and rich people win.

When you run out of shells and ammo, you tend to lose.

I mean he’s already been saying it in public at his rallies, so why would anyone be surprised?

He also said from day one he intends to be a dictator. So again, anyone who votes for Trump is voting for literal fascism.

I wish more politicians would do this, and not rely on corporate lobbyist to educate them or write laws for them.

This timeline is getting to be absolutely ridiculous.

They control the state legislature and local courts, so they are not worried.

This isn’t about the value of your vote or whether to vote. It is about the continued poor quality of choices and the people who decide the candidates that run and are eventually voted on in the elections.

Party leadership and manipulation of candidates have led us to where we are now along with a disfunctional congress that pushes regressive policies.

Politicians understand and manipulate the votes in every way possible. Gerrymandering is a great example of this, no opponents can win those districts as its a mathematical impossibility.

They have figured out they need to oen the courts and local governments that pass voting laws and control the election process.

Those are the real issues that need to be addressed.

Honestly, we have a similar problem in the US. Republicans are very good at convincing the rural and poor folk to vote against their own best interests. They scare up some bullshit, culture war, religious nonsense and blame the Democrats for making things shitty. When in reality, they just lie, and do the opposite of what they say once they are elected.
