Our subscribers voted for no spoilers in post titles, but that is the only place spoilers are not permitted. It was a close vote, with around 50% voting for no spoilers, the rest being split between spoilers and unsure.
A spoiler for us is defined as a piece of information which allows users to derive a driver's finishing position of a competitive session.
Feels like that is a reasonable compromise. Thumbnails and post content is not moderated currently. With some clients not rendering the spoiler tags on the post preview, we felt it was pointless trying to enforce them.
Please remember that most of us have been here for a month at most. We're still getting to grips with bots and Lemmy in general.
I made all the threads early this weekend so there could be a stickied post for all the sessions regardless of my availability to post them manually.
Not that I disagree with what you're asking, it's just this whole platform isn't quite as mature as reddit, and expecting the same level of quality as r/formula1 is unrealistic at this time.
Technically this breaks the rules by stating Bottas' position, but I honestly can't think of a reasonable way of phrasing it that wouldn't make this obvious anyway.
LJ is considering a sub for premium features of Sync for Lemmy (which I'm against, would much rather just buy the app outright). With that in mind, I can see him open sourcing this application.
Nor should he. FOSS is great, but not all apps need to be FOSS, and not all developers can afford to work for free / donations.
Awesome start by Lando. Feels like Max is inevitable though.
