I'm gonna have to call bull on almost all of this, at least in my state. (The low listing times are real though.... big money buying anything they can rent out)

To get to a starter home at $250,000 my commute would be 1hr and 50 miles minimum.

350k only gets me about 45 minutes and 30 miles.

And these time estimates are on a good day, because fuck good freeway design where I live. One goes north south, one East West, and that's it. Everyone commutes on them and if you need to go anywhere in rush hours it's three times as long

When compared with the cost savings, in my personal case, renting when I need a car to drive 100+miles, is cheaper than buying a more expensive ev, or paying for fuel in a gasoline vehicle.

The time is negligible as well when I compare the time I don't spend at gas stations because I charge at home.

I have a pair of front seats for a car.

Got them in trade on some work, was just so I could replace worn out seats, but when I got them I noticed they were special option seats, only came factory in one car in Japan, and an option in ~7 various cars/years in Japan. They're worth ~$3000. For 2, unassuming blue and black seats.

Not to mention the high likelyhood of it pulling a Salton sea remake in the next couple decades.
