  • When they do it, We need to encourage people to report it as incorrect information. If everyone does it then it may be enough for show we don’t want this and don’t want to be seen as the fools the White House actually is.

  • We still have medical cocaine. It makes sense to have a company who has long term experience processing it to still do the same as long as they keep up the proper permits and labs.

Set this aside and I agree with @reddig33@lemmy.world that i have much less worry about this than i do about all the plastic. I truly wish we could and would move back to glass bottles because those can truly be recycled. Plastic CAN be but most places anymore don't actually recycle it.

  • If there is a mechanism for change then I would want to have the knowledge we are being lied to and work toward the change. I would want to know. Even if I would never see the change but there was the opportunity for my kids or theirs to have it all without resurrection then I would want to know.

If the idea is only this question and no way to change the outcome I would want to stay in the cave Mr. Plato and be none the wiser.

  • Commemorative coins do cost more that is correct. However this was not those. This was when the US mint was essentially attempting to phase out the dollar bill and replace it with a coin.

Keep in mind this was late 90s early 2000s.

  • Back in the day they were “selling” dollar coins through tv. It was legal tender so banks had to accept any deposit of it. The U.S. mint offered free shipping in the continental U.S.A.

Some smart folks started buying them with their credit card that offered air travel miles as a reward. Then they took all the coins and depositing them in their bank and paid off their CC. Rinse and repeat.

Yes they were out no money and had thousands of dollars worth airline miles.

  • I don't doubt that all companies push back against unions. They force the company to pay more. The only thing I have to say regarding Costco is that it usually pays its employees a much better wage than most stores.

  • The worst part is when you go to a place you need to pay before service is rendered.

If I go to the bagel shop and get a dozen I pay before I pick them out. TIP? Are you kidding me, what what, you have not served me yet.

A tip is to reward good service at a sit down place. I still think it shouldn't be and if we have it, it should be back to the 5-10% like most countries that have tipping.

But if you ask for a tip before you render service i get a little angry.

  • Even if I were to take the headline at face value. “The other people get more relief than you do!” Okay, I have had shit tons of medical debt. Times I had to make a payment plan. You telling me there is a group defined by race that have it even worse. Well I am shocked to learn that /s.

This doesn’t wipe the debt so no one is in the clear. It just doesn’t hurt your credit so you can actually still apply for the better place or a new home. Chill the f out you asshats.

  • Ohh I totally agree if the show or movie is 4K then you should be able to stream it that way. The main point I guess I was making is be sure that the show or movie is 4K, some are not and if that’s the case it won’t work no matter what you do.

There is a list of them that support 4K.

  • I know I may come off bad with this question but I ran into it a while back and felt like a fool.

What show were you trying to watch, and does that show come in UHD.

When I had it I would stream to the TV so it may be different but not all shows and movies Netflix has comes in 4K.

It may all not give you that option because the resolution of the M3 MacBook Air is 2560x1664 and not actually 4k (3840 x 2160) I understand the pixel density changes things but the native resolution is what I am referencing. Unfortunately Netflix is not going to stream a higher resolution than the display natively supports from my understanding. May not hurt to hit up support with Netflix to see they can do anything to get it to stream 4K. Maybe they’ll even refund your money.

  • We have Disney+ due to kids and nothing else. Did Netflix for a bit but eventually didn’t like the price and policy change.

I had actually enjoyed it a lot since it wasn’t too $$ at first. The price increase and stupid lawsuits made me rethink. Still decided the shows we watched as a family were worth the price and convenience.

However in the past week they started adding things that were only available with the espn and Hulu subscriptions. So now we are seeing tons of things we can’t watch.

It’s now really pissing me off. So all the other shit bothered me but not to the point of canceling. This however is going to be the catalyst.

  • I’m a 40 year old straight dude with two kids and a wife. I think that guy is a freaking heartthrob! I mean first look at him, he good looking. I always rate people on how they look first but more importantly how they act second. And just look how this guy acted.
