  • Yeah, I could also use my DSLite to dump GBA saves at least. My GBC saves are unfortunately all long gone because the batteries dried up.

It is really cool being able to dump save games, so if these multi-dumpers can do so, that's amazing.

  • Honestly, as cool as this is, I just keep collections of downloaded entire game libraries like PS1, PS2, PSP, 3DS, NDS, GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, etc.

I'm more interested in preserving my save games, which I can dump myself on my modded 3DS for 3DS and NDS games, plus my PSP I can just copy paste those save games from the memory card. Those are more what is really irreplacable. Everyone has my games, not everyone has my save games.

  • Firefox now offers the option to collect a minimal amount of data for them and inform the network indirectly.

This is a good thing for the end user.

I'm not sure that collecting data is actually a good thing for the end user, but to each their own I suppose.

  • Can you point to where I said that Mozilla is as bad as Google?

    I don't think you'll be able to.

Mozilla has been called out for concerning things in the past, as has Canonical. I think it's okay to call companies out for doing shady things, and I think it's okay to hold them accountable.

I don't think it's unreasonable to be concerned.

  • There is no indication that they’re blocking adblockers or taking away firefox customization.

    Yet.

We don't know that after they are deeper and deeper into the advertising industry, that they don't just go ahead and do it.

Remember how Google wasn't always evil? Money changes companies (and people). Advertising money could very well change Mozilla. Plus, remember, these statements are them telling you the public version, things that they are claiming will happen. Often times what goes on behind the scenes is very different.

I don't think it's unreasonable to be concerned by this.
