  • I feel like the reason the reason why it's taking off so much is because it's not federated.

It's like people hear the term federation and they get afraid. I know it's not that simple but still.

In other words, people don't know what they actually need.

  • No one is going to like being forced to set up a PSN account to play a game, but I imagine a lot of people will do it for a free cosmetic skin or whatever in-game incentives they come up with.

That's the thing I don't get. If they give a free skin or two, and advertise that, and also make it clear that it's optional, I see no reason why they wouldn't still get tons of people either way. That way, everyone is happy.

These companies really don't understand that like, if you make good games, and you do things that gamers like, they will be happier with your games, buy more games, buy more DLC, etc. These game companies would make far more money being nicer than being shitty.

  • So you think it will become fully legalized? We've just had a fairly progressive government for how many years, and now we have a new government coming who will want to practically ban porn and introduce digital ID verification through those sites (to start, let's see if it doesn't spread to other sites). You really think we're going to become more progressive about this in the future and fully legalize it?

  • That would be a truly dark day. I never liked their centralized dashboard functionality, it always seemed cumbersome to me.

I hope that doesn't happen, but I guess if it does, I will really need to find a different monitoring tool.

  • To me, the idea of prison being resorts, for someone who has done something so wrong, it's kind of strange to me. The idea that someone can do something so wrong and end up at a resort, yet there are people who work so hard every single day at their jobs, they can't afford a sick day, they can't afford a day off, they can't afford a vacation, a resort is an unknown thing to them. Hell, some of those people even have to work a second job just to barely pay the bills.

It's really interesting to think about, and quite fucked up unfortunately.
