  • It's a start I guess? Maybe? I don't think the people attacking Palestinians care about coming to the US right now.

I'd prefer to see the US withhold the billions of dollars of monetary aid it gives Israel every year. Maybe give it to Ukraine?

  • Because the parent comment explicitly mentioned the IDF?

He said "Hamas and IDF are one and the same." Why do you only ask for evidence about the IDF?

If you’re going to discard any evidence coming from Israelis

The only "evidence" I've seen about Hamas rape cases are testimonies. They probably happened, but every news article has only cited testimonies. Have you seen evidence of Hamas committing rape that isn't just a testimony?

I also hold the IDF to the same standard and don't take Hamas' claims against them at face value. Both could be lying or telling the truth, but objective evidence leaves way less room for ambiguity and manipulation.

  • While it wouldn't surprise me at all for this to be true, I'm not going to take Israeli testimonies at face-value.

They just have a history of lying to make their enemies look bad, so I consider that history whenever there's no objective evidence.

Same reason I wouldn't trust Russian testimonies at face-value.

  • I don't really consider doing arithmetic to be important for lawyers.

If you can use a calculator, all you need to do is understand the very simple concepts. This applies to the vast majority of people who use math in their everyday lives.

  • “why did they change this!?”

It's funny, as a child learning 'old math', I always thought "is this the only way to do it? Why are we doing it this way?"

Glad people are finding alternatives instead of just getting tunnel-visioned into doing what we've always done.

  • I mean, that doesn't have to stop the jury from including it in their verdict.

The legal system is way more flimsy than a lot of you people realize.

Here's a case of a bootlegger that killed his wife after he got out of jail because she left him and sold all his stuff: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Remus

He was found not guilty even though he admitted to doing it. Apparently the courtroom cheered (I don't blame them, tbh.)
