Impatient week for me as I'm trying out as many demos as I can during Steam Next Fest. Will return to Arkane's Prey once it's over, this time for sure I'll finish it!
It goes further than your oversimplification ; i don't know where you live but in France workers have rights that they fought for thanks to unions and collective actions like these, and quality of output is not the sole metric to "deserve" just pay.
Valve has created a dedicated page describing that in-game ads or ad-based revenue models are not allowed in Steam games.
This has been reported as a new policy, but this has been the case for at least 5 years as seen on the pricing page, there just wasn't a separate page.
Balatro - trying to beat black stakes on blue deck currently
Black Book - fun little deck building game with surprising depth when it comes to lore, I'd day the amount of game mechanics makes it a wide but shallow game, it's not a bad thing, it's easy to get into, easy to play, and gives just enough to have this RPG feeling
Deep Rock Galactic Survivor - haven't played in a long time so I just discovered the new biome, beautiful, and I like the new challenges, I still think it's the superior "survivor" game, but I'm afraid once it comes out of early access, the genre as a whole will be out of fashion
We are taking this opportunity between full development cycles to reimagine how we work at BioWare.
Given this stage of development, we don’t require support from the full studio. We have incredible talent here at BioWare, and so we have worked diligently over the past few months to match many of our colleagues with other teams at EA that had open roles that were a strong fit.
Today’s news will see BioWare become a more agile, focused studio that produces unforgettable RPGs.
Libertalia, an independent publishing house created in 2007, publishes around 20 books per year. Since 2018, Libertalia has also been a neighborhood bookstore, at 12 rue Marcelin-Berthelot, in Montreuil, nearby Paris. At our level, modestly, we try to build happy days.
As far as I remember, I've never bought anything in my life that I couldn't enjoy immediately after payment (not counting delivery time if it had to be ordered and shipped). I did buy early access games, or games at full price on release day (twice only, Overwatch and Baldur's Gate 3), though.
Nice, thanks for all the effort, keep them coming !
