  • social media manipulation

Biggest social media are all owned by private american corporations in bed with the government. Same as before to me it doesn't sound much likely that the russian government can successfully manipulate them.

There’s no reason to believe the USA being rich (which only means a few individuals and corporations are very rich, btw) or having the largest army could have prevented it.

Having the largest army doesn't mean they have more guys running around in a field. USA has the most technological advanced army in the world, they have the biggest mass surveillance network, more military facilities around the world, more satellites in orbit and they top everyone else in cyberwarfare.

  • US is the richest country in the world and the one with the largest and most advanced army. To me it sound quite unlikely to believe that the president of USA is controlled by russia (a country that is 10 times less rich).

  • United States Imports from Russia was US$3.27 Billion during 2024

Sounds like no government actually gives a fuck about stopping the ukraine war. Sending weapons to ukraine government is a more profitable business than cutting import and export to russia to 0.

  • This is how it works when your country has war on it’s land

This is how you are told it works when your country has war on it's land.

I would expect any European country to react the same with war on their land.

I would expect the same, most of them are ruled by corrupted politicians with blood on their hands

    War is hell on earth

I agree, drafting people by force brings you closer to hell.

  • Ukrainians die to protect their homeland against invasion. Russians die for needless oligarchic aspirations of dominion of the elite. It’s not the same thing for either side, as many like to make it seem as if Ukraine has any responsibility in the matter.

I think what some people are arguing about is that ukraine government practices much resemble these of the russian government. Ukraine government is also drafting people by force and arresting any male between 18-60 who tries to leave the border. Many people died as a result trying to flee.

Drafting people by force is a needless authoritarian practice in any scenario.

  • One of the reasons russia could invade ukraine is because they have an army of conscripts. Rulers and politicians use people as their paws. Be wary of any ruler or government drafting people by force even when their claim is "defense", not being drafted by force does not limit the ability of individuals to defend themself.

  • You are misinformed.

European countries combined do indeed spend more money on war than russia. What the article you posted claim is that adjusted to their buying power russia spend the equivalent of more billions. Even if we compare these adjusted spending europe and russia are pretty much there.
