KDE Connect is the best! Also why isn't the app called KDE Konnekt 🤣

  • It is very nice but the officle app depents a lot on qt what is really anoing. It would be really nice if I could use a gtk version of it on hyprland

  • It will matter if your packages are so out of date that you can't run any games on it. Had this issue when I used KDE neon what uses an Ubuntu LTS release

  • Quick question: Why are all saying that upgrading via -Syu is risky? I use arch for 3 weeks now and I always upgraded via paru -Syu and I never had problems with it.

  • If you want to try you also can use hyprland as a stacking window compositor it is really clean. The one thing I would say is clunky is the configuration around hyprland xdg-desktop-portals are just a mess

  • Good point but to be honest I just compile my stuff from source so that I can get the newest version of the software the security aspect is forms at leased a nice side benefit. In distros like Debian I can see the complications with the newer completed packages but with rolling release distros never experiencessed some problems with that.
