  • I might not be stealing money from work, but I am definitely a proud time thief.

  • That's interesting and really important to know so I'm glad you're sharing that but, without going into details about my work, I'm certain they won't be able to request personal devices.

  • Because I don't want my work to be able to literally watch and record every keystroke and mouse-click I make. Much less listen or watch me at home by activating the mic or camera. There's no way I'm using that compromised device at home regularly.

I have a work laptop I only rarely use for just one very specific thing that I can only do on that laptop. I also have my personal laptop where I do everything including my work and if I want to sidebrowse stuff then I open up a different browser—all of which are privacy-hardened.

I just recently got a new laptop so now I have one that is even more locked down, secure, Linux-based, and I only use it for personal stuff.

  • No way. BK was solid in the 90's.

I can't think of a single chain that was shit at the time. Peak fast food.

  • The first half?! I should probably rewatch it in case I'm forgetting something but I think I love life-affirmation of the second half. Not trying to judge but the first half is so depressing. Haha What do you love about it?

But, no, I haven't read it, unfortunately. I know Ikiru is based off it though, right? I still see Ikiru as a kind of Christ story.

  • It is obvious, but that's exactly where I got it from. Haha

I love the film and it made me learn and appreciate the word, but I also love the word used in this way as a kind of homage to living, or existence itself, and a nod to existentialism and phenomenology.

  • That's so funny. I love Kierkegaard, you have an awesome name!

Hope you can find a better mattress to improve your sleep.

  • The compromise: medium mattresses.

  • There's always an exception to the rule.

I've also had a great night's sleep on my side using firm futons or even the floor, doesn't mean that it isn't better for side sleepers to use softer mattresses.

  • Yeah. I remember I got heavily downvoted on reddit once when I made an Office reference, which seemed weird to me since reddit usually loves the Office, but then I only slowly realized in context the reference inadvertently seemed really racist which was very much not my intention so I deleted it.

    I rarely delete otherwise though.

  • Dude, I just realized, is your name a play on Søren Kierkegaard?

  • As a fellow side sleeper who just bought a Purple mattress, just remember to buy a plush/soft mattress. The reason you are hurting is because you are sleeping on your side on a, probably, cheap and firm mattress.

Firm mattresses are for back sleepers. Soft mattresses are for side gang, like us.

I will say Purple is just incredible if you can afford it but try it at a store first before committing. The important thing, though, is to get a soft, well-made mattress.

  • Damn, dude. I'm not trying to judge you but that's way too often.

  • We rep the SAME Smarttech!

  • Sounds like Canada didn't get it right this time either.

You should also have 18 months' leave.

  • So, she is ugly but on the inside.

  • Sand! It's like sleeping on the beach.

  • The Catholic Church was also friendly with Franco's fascist Spain.

So, the Church was actually surrounded by friends.

  • When I was a kid I took a bite out of a Hot Pocket pizza and the cheese from the bit I swallowed was still connected to the whole. I almost choked as I couldn't fully swallow it and I was home alone. But I focused my breathing and then managed to slowly pull the piece back up through my esophagus by using the cheese.

    I did not enjoy that.
