I don’t know if I just blocked the troublemakers early, but I haven’t seen any of the sniping over edits that was occasionally there on Reddit, at least. But yeah, I get annoyed when I have to edit a whole comment just because of formatting or a typo.
I’m not the person you replied to, but I was taught to write very formally in school and while writing legal position papers at work and llms mimic a style that was drilled into me. It’s really frustrating, but other than swearing or making a dumb joke, I don’t know how to make it clear that I’m a person (and tbh, the former won’t work for long and the latter is already outdated).
If you don’t want to deal with it at all forever, you might want to look into electrolysis/laser hair removal. Depending on coupons and providers in your area as well as the type of hair you have, that might be the cheapest option, but it’s permanent/semi permanent, so it’s not a good option if you suspect you’ll want to have facial hair later in life. It can range from $250-$2500 total, so it’s also a very hit or miss thing.
I think high school is irrelevant when talking about the behavior of men and women, because it’s attended by children. In my high school, matching socks were actively uncool and would get you made fun of- making a complaint about how the world cares about your ingenuity in mismatching socks based on my experience there would be more reflective of my personal history than of larger society
That’s so much worse. Solution and question aren’t as natural a pairing as solution and problem or answer and question, and the only only example of them going together as an established phrase that comes to mind is the nazi one.
It makes me feel like an old fashioned sitcom dad, because I fully believe it could be a healthy and positive thing for individuals and the group dynamic, but I don’t want any part of it.
Yeah, they’re all pretty close to the border no matter what. I was honestly just throwing that in because I was saying that they seemed like they were different generations personality-wise (my aunt also married at 20 a man a decade older than she was, so that plays a role) and I figured someone was going to reply that they technically were from different generations.
