We gossip about our coworkers/classmates /people we know in common or talk about shared hobbies and upcoming plans together.

I’m newly a teacher (of adults), and I accept literally any excuse anyone gives me. I suspect that I’ll change that as time goes on, but I don’t even really get excuses.

That’s too tempting. Do you get an activation noise if you give in or is it just insta attack mode?

Whaaaat, bottom middle for me, except he’s got mean eyes. That might be a reflection of his recent circumstances though, I can’t imagine he’s in a great mood.

I’m pretty sure that’s the only reason my great uncle used to make fortified tomato wine. I wasn’t around for it, but it seems to have exclusively been drunk by his kids, to their great regret. He could always tell by the uncontrollable retching

But empathy is a weakness…

Side note: I’m autistic, so I might be approaching this differently from how others do, but is it so uncommon to know that you might be exploited and not care? I’ve put tampons in every shared bathroom I’ve used with any regularity, and sometimes they all get stolen. That sucks, but I can afford it, and maybe the person who took them all can’t. I once stocked a work bathroom with them four times in a month. Maybe one of my coworkers was getting one over on me, maybe all of my coworkers took two or three extra, maybe I saved one coworker’s budget. It doesn’t really matter to me. My buying tampons for people is a “weakness” in the sense that it is an exploitable tendency, but, like, so? I’ve got lots of exploitable tendencies, but I’m okay with that (and in fact, I prefer it).

I guess what I’m asking, is whether or not it’s just the nutso fascists who think exploitability is automatically a negative or whether that’s a common belief (that they’re expanding to include all forms of empathy) and I’m the odd one out? I don’t know if this can really be answered, lol.

I’ve hit the limit on safari tabs on my phone multiple times. When you open something in a new tab at that point, it just cannibalizes a tab you haven’t visited recently, but you can use the back button to find out what it was.

If and when you get around to looking at it, you’ll love everything you see. A mood hack I discovered is to look at saved posts in a random order, because I forget about everything, so it’s like a perfectly curated feed.

All I can see is a bag that my brain has identified as frankincense in the center console. Actually, I looked it up and I’m siding with my brain on this one, that does look like frankincense.

I’m going to be honest, seeing a palmetto bug in person would probably make me think I’d traveled back to a more oxygen rich atmosphere for a second. I’m not generally squicky about bugs that don’t harm you, but I think that would activate a new part of my brain.
