I totally agree with you. All of our dogs are rescues (and we adopt the old ones, so we’ve had quite a few over the years). So please don’t take this post as condoning dog breeding. Spay and neuter, people!

From what I understand, this is typical dachshund behavior. They have so much personality for such a small stature. Ours also loves to burrow, it’s so cute.

That would break my heart too! Our new(ish) dog doesn’t like my son (it’s a long story, he did nothing wrong, she just has trauma). I can see his eyes sinking when she barks at him. I’m sorry your cat is not showing you as much love!
