Judging by what I read about Germany's newspapers, it doesn't. Which is kinda scary? Even if these papers clearly have issues, we really do need local journalism (and it's even more dire for media that isn't targeting the national market).
Also, cooking as a job fucking sucks. Long hours, low pay, high pressure to get things done fast, and people generally seem to treat each other like shit. Why would you do that to yourself if you had different options?
But IDK about studying with it. They definitely have some pieces that work (e.g. most of Sunset Mission), but a lot of their stuff combines being extremely slow with kinda loud drum hits, which can be kind of distracting IMO. Like, you're listening to some sweet chord ring out, and after a couple of seconds the snare goes TCHACK.
Source? I mean it sounds plausible, but universial healthcare is hardly the only difference between USA and e.g. Italy. Red wine and olive oil are probably not the main culprit, but lifestyle generally plays a very large role. e.g. compare Italy's obesity rate with that of the USA, or even most other european countries. The wealthier european countries (including Italy) also have way fewer hours worked per capita than the USA.
You know what I really like? Badly-made automated translations from a language that I've been learning for 25 years.
For real though, I had to set my browser's language to English so sites like YouTube stop mangling the video titles, like what's even the point of translating the titles when their content isn't translated anyway?
Yep, don't have the headspace right now to deal with any issues that pop up, and TBH Canonical's flavor of corporate-ness kind of takes the excitement out of getting updates, too.
