Good AI art should be completely invisible, like when romcom movies with no visible CGI are actually changing the entire sky in certain scenes. People were able to spot the flaws here instantly.

Or if you're a 1 man studio living in their parent's basement, go nuts with it. This is a gigantic company that could afford to hire humans.

I've heard of some edge cases where Wine is now a better option than native windows for really weirdly built 2000s era games. But overall most won't run better since they have to use a compatibility layer. The point is they do run and my computer isn't just for gaming. Windows has gone deep into enshittification for ten years now, and it's worth trading some FPS to Wine to not have to live with that.

Also this only matters for new games. If you're a HoMM3 addict or only care about emulators there's no downside.

It's the opposite tbh. If you want to play emulators or old (as in 2015) PC games via Wine/VM, mac has you covered. It's newer games that are tougher because 80% of them don't get ports and Wine/VM will have to turn down the graphics to run well.

Even so, I can still run most modern games at medium settings with a low-tier, 2 generations old mac. Small price to pay for avoiding windows' godawful UX, ads, tracking, ai spam, onedrive spam, monthly subscription for solitaire, etc.

Same here, have never owned a graphics card in my life. When I occasionally do want a modern game it doesn't need to be 200FPS RTX.

You're saying this from a player opinion perspective which is accurate, but it's also interesting that companies act the same way. If a big game doesn't make 10 zillion dollars now there's a good chance the entire company gets shut down.

13-3 and 14 1.0 are complete trash imo. And some of that era leaked into 15, sending it into development hell. But aside from that, no. They're held to a higher standard so a FF that's only a B+ is seen as a complete failure and the internet spends a decade hateposting about it.

Just how AI works. It generated the text "How can I assist you with your..." and then randomly decides the next word is "financial".

Audio companies sell headsets with mics too

Never buy "gaming" audio gear. Audio is the same no matter what you use it for. Buy something in the $100 price range marketed for audio production. The design will be plain and solid black, but you'll get at least 50% more value for your money. Sennheiser is usually good.

iirc sega recently decided that persona and yakuza have to release one game every year. They just hide it well since lots of them are remakes or optional sidegames

If you ever get into a EMMI QTE you've done something wrong. The QTE is a glorified game over screen, the 1% chance of escaping is only there to make it scarier with false hope

Going to use this thread to recommend AM2R which is so high quality Nintendo could have made it themselves. It also has a great Prime-style OST in a 2d game which none of the other games have done
