If you ban smart glasses because of the camera, then you have to ban phones and that was tried and failed in most places.

A few years ago, some venues here in Copenhagen, Denmark started banning phones, i.e. you would have to place your phone into a small, locked bag for the duration of the show and then when you left the venue, you could unlock the bag and use your phone again. I think that was perfectly allowed.

You think publishers should not be allowed to decide when they want to stop selling their goods?

Even if you turn off the setting and it stays off in subsequent updates, how can you know that the setting actually does anything at all? That is to say how can you trust Microsoft does not ignore the setting and just gathers the data always.

Unfortunately there are still bills to pay even if you don’t visit the site for months. Keeping the lights on is not free. So that is a very unlikely subscription model you’re describing.

I would wager they many of the same people arguing for a boycott went on to purchase it anyway. Opinions are free, as long as it doesn’t affect your life in any way.

That is your opinion. I sometimes prefer a video over a long text. Everyone has their own preference.

Which works for some content, but a lot of childrens content is only available through subscriptions to Netflix/Disney+/Max.

Don’t know why you’re being downvoted. Truth hurts I guess? I have worked in IT for more than 25 years, installed Slackware from floppies in the 90s and have tried Linux countless times since. Every. Single. Time I end up wasting my time trying to fix hardware drivers or being forced to accept the programs I want to use don’t work on Linux and the alternative programs are just plain worse.

Oh and I have used Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat, Fedora, Mint, Slackware, Pop! Os, Alpine, Gentoo.

Phoenix Project and Unicorn Project are about non technical skills. Very entertaining books as well.

Except book #2 I fully agree, these are great books to read for someone who wants to grow their non technical skills.

It’s fine to refuse to help, but offering your unsolicited opinion on windows instead of helping is just rude.

Having worked in this industry for going on 25 years, I long ago learned that there are way too many incompetent programmers in the world working critical jobs. It's best not to think about it.
