I all of the sudden have a great idea for a vaporizer...

For real though, I liked the way the Aeron kind of "forced" good posture. Not enough to buy one for myself, but enough when I had one at a previous job.

It got weird after COVID. Of the stuff I sold, a lot of people would ask if I could deliver. Even for small items, and far more often than they would before the pandemic. Of the stuff I buy, people would ask if I wanted it delivered. I understood for large items like couches. It made no sense for stuff like DVDs. (Porch pick up or neutral location for me always.)

So I just offer it right out the gate now. If they're "selling" something and it's a scam, it filters them out. If I'm buying something, it lets them know I'm not going to ask them to jump through hoops.

When I get back to my personal computer, I'm going to finally move to Linux. I'm a developer primarily on Microsoft technologies, but I'm willing to see if there is a way for me to work on Linux and branch out to other tech.

Meanwhile, you ask a question or two about it (size, smoke free home, anything else not answered in the ad) or even say "When is a good time to look at/pick this up? Will pay cash."

Crickets. Online classifieds are a lot more frustrating than they used to be.

Same, lots of great people and a nice community. As a whole, they're very accepting folks too and have no problems with the respectful non-furs.

Very true. However, that fact didn't stop them from taking away my apple core.

It's a shame. I used to love Steak N Shake, but they have been declining over the years. When they got rid of the orange freeze, I never went back.

Finally, something achievable.

I made this mistake with a stink bug when it was winter. It was ok with being on the piece of paper I had it on. When I opened the door and the cold air hit it, it backed away towards me. I set it down and it stopped moving. Oops. :(

Definitely. We still have that to this day, such as the Kardashians. At least with the Internet some people become famous without those moneyed connections but those are still the exception.

It really doesn't. I also dislike the fact it can be more difficult to find some parts for older cars too, so even if you wanted to salvage, it may not be viable.

The removal of 3.5mm jacks with no simple, universal, physical way to connect an audio device has been such a thorn in my side.

I said that about my older reliable car. Until I was rear ended at a stop light and it was totaled. During a time that used cars were more expensive than new. (I did find an 8 year old Corolla with high miles and lots of body damage for $18k though!)

I went without a car for nearly a year. Had to buy one when my partner was forced back to work in the office.

Peeking at the used market, it's still not great where I am. Better than 2022-23 at least.
