  • I have always liked the concept of Facebook Marketplace, but the fact it was a Meta product made me not use it. The unfortunate side effect to Facebook Marketplace taking off was that Craigslist got a lot less listings. LetGo was pretty good for a while but OfferUp bought them and I haven't found any alternative quite as good since.

Doubly frustrating since Facebook is also the hub for many Buy Nothing groups. Oh well.

  • I never thought to look it up (since I don't use Instagram) but there is a way to set up a shop in Instagram and THAT is where Meta gets their cut.

All these years, I thought it was like some sort of Craigslist deal where people would advertise there but deal with payments in other ways. Oops.

  • What kind of cooking do you do? Do you tend to bake/fry a lot of things? Do you tend to cook a lot of things on your stovetop? Do you like to slow cook things? Do you like to cook stuff that needs to soak/marinate or otherwise needs a lot of time?

Things I make in my instant pot: rice (white or seasoned), beans, seasoned proteins, stew, soup... All ready quick without soaking etc.

Things I make in my air fryer: frozen food, convenience food. I make rolls/toast in mine too, but I'm not sure you can do this in a typical air fryer. (I have a secondhand Breville air fryer.)

My advice to you is, whatever you decide on, to buy secondhand. Both appliances you're considering are popular and are somewhat easy to find used. You will save a lot of money and if you decide you don't like it, you can pass it back on to the used market and not be out as much money.

  • I stood up to my then partner's abuse. He told me I had no power and he would make sure I was left with nothing if I ever left him.

I knew if I cried he would use it against me and try to convince me I was crazy and emotional. He would do that so I would know my place. So I held my tears and bit my tongue.

  • Matt Larson, Snoqualmie’s mayor from 2006 to 2021, however, said that Lux’s and Shepard’s behavior weighed heavily on city staff’s morale. Although the city never took legal action against Lux while Larson was mayor, he noted that staff spent “hundreds, if not thousands, of hours” on “frivolous” public records requests. The two women would attack his and other public officials’ character when officials disagreed with their corruption allegations, which Larson described as conspiracies.

"My people feel bad about not doing their jobs. Why doesn't she just let it go? I bet she's just lying."

  • I usually only use it when I need it. Be it when I am having a hard time with mobility or it's the only one left. Doesn't really bother me if someone else that may or may not need it is using it (you can't always tell just by looking).

  • If you want to keep folding and still have everything accessible without digging, you can fold your items so they stand up on end. I've been doing it that way for years and it makes finding stuff pretty simple, and it takes up very little space.
