  • That's usually for the better though, basic questions have been answered a million times in a million different ways, yet another post on the same question will just make the original answers harder to find.

People still could be nicer and not attack others personally for not knowing any better, but closing duplicates and redirecting new people to them is a net positive for the platform

  • I once parked a car for a while on a well populated road, in a completely legal spot, without parking in a weird angle, without parking too close to anyone, and there's no one there that would know me and have a problem with me, so the only likely explanation is that some jackass teenager found it funny to key my car for no reason.

  • It is quite toxic but come on, you can't say it isn't an essential tool nowadays. The nitpicky attitudes and downvote barrages kinda enforce good quality answers besides being toxic as hell sometimes

  • Maybe I'm lucky as shit but I've tried Arch Linux on many different systems with quite different hardware, and I've never had a networking issue that wasn't my fault (for not installing dhcp for instance)

  • It can run yeah, but it's not a playable performance at all. A friend of mine played a bit of Cyberpunk with a 1050 on Windows, all the latest drivers and a relatively good build other than the graphics card, but he quickly got tired from running it with 20-30 FPS (all settings on low with 720p)

  • Except if you happen to be in one of the minorities they are targeting.

Here is a quote that will probably go over your head, but I'll post it regardless in the hopes that you're better than the rest of the far-right voters:

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

        Then they came for me
And there was no one left
        To speak out for me

  • I don't fully agree with absolving the blame on the people for this because the middle class struggles. It takes a real idiot to fall for the same traps that people fell for back in the two world wars, how fucking hard is it to connect the dots?

If the world comes to shit again, I'll feel no sympathy for them, because despite their obviously poor education, they are bad at being humans as well. The one thing that the far-right loves more than anything is dividing people and creating "bad guys" in order to redirect the hatred and pain of the people, but when all the other "bad guys" are killed off / locked up/ slaved, then only they will remain to take up the role.
