  • That's colloquially called sea-lioning, and not what I'm intending to do.

I think you're the fifth different person (unless you're all alts, hardy-har) to reply to me now and still no one has even tried to explain to me what I'm missing.

  • I got insulted almost immediately and I'm the one who isn't approaching the conversation in good faith?

  • That's impossible to answer, I can't tell the future to know who will win if Biden loses.

  • I didn't refuse anything. I said I wasn't sure what their post history has to do with this one comment, and then immediately got accused of being an alt account.

  • There's no "bait" (not even sure what I'd be baiting). What is clear to one person may not be clear to another.

  • That doesn't seem like a productive way to carry on a conversation. I said I didn't get your point. Perhaps you could try to explain it to me in another way instead of devolving into insults and unfounded accusations.

  • I'm not sure what their post history has to do with this one comment in which they criticize all older politicians.

  • The commenter is not just criticizing Biden. Their comment reads to me as a negative comment towards all old politicians.

  • Ideally, it'll be whomever the most Americans voted for to lead them.

  • The person with the most electoral votes.

  • I didn't see any lyrics in the song that prompted not voting. He says in the song that he's not voting for Biden. That's not the same thing as not voting.

Everyone should vote for who they want to lead/represent them.

  • Are you saying this man should have been let off the hook because it was 20 years ago?

  • Chinese seems like a weird one to mention because anywhere I've ever gotten Chinese takeout has to be the best value for your dollar in terms of take out food. They cram those containers so full you can make three meals out of it, at least.

  • "People called Romans, they go the house?"

  • Both sides need to agree for a ceasefire to work, but that doesn't mean it doesn't matter.

  • Why are you so cynically dismissive of breaking news that one side of a war would be willing to accept a ceasefire proposal? It matters a lot.

  • I did not ever mean to imply that all Mexicans understand why Americans celebrate, nor that all Mexican-Americans view it as a celebration as their culture.

My point was only ever that we should not paint with broad brush strokes. People are not a monolith.

  • I think you're not giving Mexicans enough credit to assume they'd be confused.

While you paint this picture of Americans oversimplifying Mexican culture for celebration, I likewise find that itself an oversimplification. I think there are lots is areas and communities that do more than wear sombreros and drink margaritas. I think we'll have to disagree on this one.
