  • I feel like you didn't read their whole initial comment and hyper focused on the analogy instead of what they were talking about. Their comment is literally about the difference between US and Europe and why they ended up with different solutions for messaging. (high SMS fees in Europe vs unlimited SMS in the US).

  • This is a Kbin problem with not showing the instance name for communities and users. The solution is for kbin to fix it's UI not for users to add unnecessary information to their post titles.

I suggest you make a post in the Kbin meta magazine if this bothers you instead of complaining to people who did nothing wrong.

  • They're referring to the screenshot of a post where you said a user's comment about who they are attracted to was not transphobic and to stop reporting it.

IIRC, at the time it lead to the thread being removed due to other transphobic comments. When asked Ada clarified that the comment hexbear is complaining about as being a chaser was not the reason for this post:

  • How can you possibly read it that way? Unless you think there has to be an in-app method to ban users? There is no in-app system for blocking people from the service either.

Google: Provides an in-app system for blocking UGC and users.

  • This will search through whatever directory you select (and all subdirectories) for cbz, cbr, zip, or rar files. It will check the contents of each file to determine if it contains any jpg or png files. For all cbzs with jpg or png files, it will extract all data to a temp folder, convert the jpgs/pngs to webp images, and then create a new cbz file with the converted images. Any other contents of the cbz (such as ComicInfo.xml) will be retained. The final file will overwrite the existing file, so ensure you have a backup first.

All that for something that was unnecessary in the first place. The tool you're trying to use already supports the file format you have and works recursively. No need to move files or convert them first.

  • Adjusted for inflation comparing interest paid for 30 year fixed:
    Loan Amount: $185,457 @ 16% - Interest Paid: $720,306 and Total Cost: $905,763
    Loan Amount: $416,000 @ 7% - Interest Paid: $580,923 and Total Cost: $996,923

That's closer than I thought actually.

  • Oh, that's interesting. I was under the impression that when you report a comment the report goes to 3 places. The community moderator(s), the instance admin(s) of the community, and the instance admin(s) of the reported user.

Is this a current bug or was I just totally wrong and it never went to the instance admin(s) of the reported user?
