  • I suspect the second will feel improved when the third comes out to finish the conclusion. It's hard to end a movie on a cliffhanger like that.

I do agree with you, though. I like the first one better and it does feel like a tighter story. Also an amazing opening sequence that just pulls you right into the world (and is a great home audio test).

But I have no doubt that when I see the third film I'll likely appreciate the second more.

  • It was a poor strategy, IMO.

RB should have started on mediums or even softs and assumed there would be a safety car.

Then they could have pushed up and pitted for new tires with everyone else. Starting on the hard tires would have been a good strategy on a different track, but the hosts were saying on the preshow that there's been a safety in every previous race.

Of course, hindsight is 20/20, and if there had not been a safety, it may have been one of the greatest wins ever for RB that we'd all be gobsmacked about for years, so who knows.

  • They said during the broadcast that the car slipped off the new jack design and so one side was still on the ground. Likely had to wait for the left side to change tires before dropping and relifting the car so the right side could be taken off and replaced.

  • Always nice when all my reps are backwards boomer jackasses that don't make any attempt to represent me or my generation. I wish all congresspersons be forced to retire and prevented from reelection when they reach a certain age.
