What if you wanted to use 1pass or LastPass? They work flawlessly as browser extensions.

In another comment you said the head phones jack on the monitor is busted. It might be that the system thinks headphones are plugged in. Just a random guess, I don't even know if Linux can do that (windows can).

Try anything out of the discover app. Like someone else said super tux cart. You're just looking for an audio signal to figure out if this is a wine thing or a system thing.

At this point I would connect a usb audio device. You can get them for $10.

I'm a truenas/truecharts admin, and truecharts has a ton of guacamole apps that are kinda neat. Like dark table running in a browser.

I'm not an expert but I believe guacamole can accomplish the feat.

Have you tried using proton via steam?

Have you opened up a pipewire patch bay app to see if it's routed correctly? There's also a pulse audio virtual interface for pipewire that could help.

Neither is Mac or Windows. The only stable system setting is a text file, and even that gets moved around.

You run the gui through a web interface so you have an easy to config sync spot for your server.

Exactly it's not like they got a raise when pension were taken away. What did go up was CEO pay and shareholder payout.

I believe it has to do with drug use. Even weed isn't tolerated at these facilities. There's not really a fix for that other than housing. A bunch of people doing drugs in a dense population like that wouldn't be good. Doing drugs in your own home like a normal person would be fine. But not even the libs want to house these people.
