  • You can and should make the distinction between being paid to advertise something and sharing information based on your believes. There is such a thing as free marketing and I agree you cannot ban that, but you can ban paid advertising in a similar way as paid sex is banned in many places across the world.

  • The article is about paid advertising. Paying someone to spread your opinion is in my eyes very different than telling someone about your opinion and trying to persuade that person to agree with you.

  • This reminds me of Brexit, where a lot of leave voters were farmers who actually had a net-benefit from the subsidies the eu hands out to farmers. Now a big part of the country suffers from bregret, but there is no way to go back in time to change the vote. I'm afraid an anti-Trump message makes as much as a difference to the people in America as bregret does in the UK.

  • Old news: Israel government commit war crimes

Slightly less old news: western media document said war crimes

Still not news: western governments refuse to step in to end genocide.

Anyone who feels angry about crimes like this and is not busy fighting Israeli soldiers should shift their attention to the governments that allow Israel to commit genocide and other war crimes, and support media and organisations speaking up against Israel.

  • I read the oil prices plumeted along with the stocks and crypto currencies, so Russia is indirectly impacted as well. Does that make up for all the bullshit? No, but it makes my day a little bit better.

  • I remember the times when all online content had a list of search words so they would score higher in the search result. Still see a youtube video with this. Good for them they are trying to resurrect this trend, I miss it.

  • This guy's work for sure

  • Yeah totally, but it makes looking at his work less fun than it used to be. Probably will be like that the next time I see a Ghibli film.

  • This guy is a genius, but lately all of his stuff looks like it could have been done by ai. Still have his site as a bookmark. Here's more if anyone wants: https://www.jamesfridman.com/edits

  • The world gets poorer > oil and other raw materials become cheaper > Russia earns less money > Russia also gets poorer.

  • I don't automatically remember a name after having seen someones face on TV, also didn't know what N.S.C. was.

  • Wouldn't expect any less from Jackson Lamb haha.

  • The context I needed to understand this headline:

"President Trump fired six National Security Council officials after an extraordinary meeting in the Oval Office with the far-right activist Laura Loomer, who laid out a list of people she believed were disloyal to the president, U.S. officials said on Thursday."

  • Thanks, though correct grammar kind of gave it away already.

  • I said ask but I meant demand. Because right now it seems western governments are fine with not seeing any proof.

  • So you're saying we are better off if the EU shifts further right? Or do you mean if we shift left and stop in the center that wouldn't be good enough?
