  • Electricity is a pretty easy concept. Steam power driving magnets and copper. That rare earths make better magnets should be easy enough to search for them. Copper wires to deliver the electricity easy AF. Can help jump start progress to late 21st century for some things.

  • It was a mistake (in obvious retrospect) to not settle for RCV. Singh made his weekend speech, "vote strategically to not split for CPC win", which never has to be said under RCV. You can instead double down on why you should be first or 2nd choice, and voter only needs to agree to help you/party. You don't get strategic voting instructions from mainstream media. You have to rely on actively searched for leaked polling data that may or may not be true.

  • Thank you for context.

Hungarian vetos blocking EU financial packages to Ukraine

Veto should be a uncriticized power of EU membership. A not particularly creative agreement EU members can make is to fund and benefit from a program budget on which just the approving members decide upon. If you wanted a $100B bill to gift stuff to Ukraine, and Hungary's share was going to be $1-$5B, then a $95B-$99B bill could be passed among other members.

  • BRICS would want us more than EU does. EU would likely play us if their devotion to US empire/hegemony forces can sabotage any trade/membership deal. BRICS are independent of US empire sabotage, and need to break up the evil unipolarism.

  • Russia has infiltrated it with trojan horse governments like the Hungarian Fidesz party and the Slovakian SMER party, who embezzle EU funds and politically roadblock motions with their veto

Unfair considering CIA infiltration of rest of EU. Not gaslighting their people with Russophobia warmongering is a sane position that has created FDI and growth exceeding rest of EU, as in rest of free (non US colonized) world.

At any rate, trade deals with EU is awesome to pursue. A political union with extreme hate groups who beg for greater US subservience to increase their hate is very dangerous for Canada to submit to. CIA control over all western democracies makes gaslighting on US resistance easy, and push comes to shove, EU would happily help destroy Canada if it gives them more US brownie points. EU faked interest in a trade deal with Ukraine in 2013, only to have US controlled (with EU puppet votes) IMF sabotage it, and assist in coup against Ukrainian president who trusted EU.

EU is simply not reliable, even if Canadians programming aligns with their current chaos. Canada wanting it more than EU is a recipe for failure.

  • I don't know how to refine oil, but knowing that its refinable into diesel/gasoline is a pretty good start to looking for it. Steam power easier to figure out. A head start on murdering some sperm whales for lighting industry seems easy enough to figure out. Partnering with metal smiths who might have a clue on making gun barrels, and pipe's in general that could be used for advanced weaponry, would be an easy path to get governments to give me a ton of money for weapons research by just showing them some drawings. Doesn't really matter if I ever figure out how to do it, just the vision of what is possible would make me richer than Musk. Richer if I can help enslave all of humanity to one empire.

  • Last Taiwan election had US hawk oligarchist President elected, but Parliament majority was won by the sensible survivalist party. To help start a war, there is a proposal for McCarthyist military tribunal system where, like recent ROK martial law, "do you now, or have you ever, considered war to not provide a path to glorious happiness?" in order to jail anyone blocking war, and measures that would force China to intervene.

  • only around 40% of the tardigrades survived, but the researchers say this could improve with further refinement. Nevertheless, the study suggests that researchers could use this method to print microelectronics or sensors onto living tissue.

“This approach provides new insights into tardigrades’ resilience

The only thing that can kill tardigrades are tattoos.

  • Why did you want to involve yourself in standard fare Lemmy drama and why, the only time you got coherent and started trying to make some sense, was it on behalf of one of their strange moderation decisions?

My interjection on BS oil industry shilling "free speech" was consistent with human sustainability. I don't consider being anti-war and anti-evil to be schitzo. On topic, the political BS that gets repeated as "Trump motivation" is simply distractive BS. The CIA agents that are platformed in our media to tell us such BS, will in their next breath, advise Canadians that we need to spend 3-5% of our GDP on F35s.

Does a different US agency than the CIA pay you to try to normalize evil and disinformation on lemmy?

  • The "threat to Canadian Arctic" has always been a transparent ploy to baselessly force Canadians to support purchase of overpriced US weapons. It is theft by traitors who hate us. Plenty of Chinese offers to buy/develop resources in Canada were rejected.

Maybe you could stay out of Canada, if you have no awareness of the BS people like you submit us to.

  • Having access to information about who voted on a post would allow people to locate brigading1 efforts and detect bots spamming down/upvotes on posts. Currently, only admins can access this information, which makes it harder for users to report such behaviour to them.

Or provide the empire controlling most of the bots, extra ammunition to have AI determine a social credit score for everyone. Winner gets a free trip to El Salvador.

  • Whatever sensible conditions to prevent people from owning firearms, should apply to even more deadly weapon. They should still be able to have access to a motorcycle, or the vehicle class that is Citroen Ami, which is a 25mph maximum speed car classified as somewhat close to a bicycle. License still needed, but 14 year olds can access.

  • No idea what OP is saying, but there is historically 0 US investment that Canada has ever said no to. Canadian owned companies have never refused to sell to US, and Canada has been a perfectly good US slave in invoking national security BS against Chinese ownership of resources. US system of colonialism is through private oligarchy, and they have (had) full access to Canada.

So, the resource access argument is complete BS. The blocking Russian access to Arctic passage and resources is also 100% BS. Canadians are already fully programmed to hate Russia, and their only interest in our resources or passage would be as invited friends, sending us goods we happily paid for. Russia has a massive amount of their own undeveloped resources, closer to its/natural trade partner market, and trade with Europe or Africa has no need for Canadian waters access. Traitorous lying filth program you with any stupidity that Russia is a threat to Canada.

I would suggest that Trump does not want to annex Canada. He wants to destroy Canada in order to move manufacturing jobs to US under the false logic that Americans can do everything that Canadians can, and that a destroyed Canada would be willing and able to buy US goods. I doubt that a destroyed Canada would be given same (nice) treatment as east germany during reunification. But East German complaints existed.

Any explanation of Trump's extortion of Canada, has to be in the context of what the US is unable to get from Canada or get Canada to do. Because no such circumstances exist, it is irrational. Trump, relative to his first presidency, is fully in charge, and he can say complete stupid and illogical stuff without any filter, and the only response to save Canada is industrial policy and international partners to destroy the US economy.
