  • Yeah I got it after some other lemming told me that you can get it for cheap with a family account. I pay 4 bucks per month now which apparently also supports YouTubers more than watching ads on their videos.

  • Edit: Ignore my complaint. You learn something new every day.

    1. Open the Settings app from the Apple TV home screen.
    2. Select Remotes and Devices.
    3. Click on TV Button to switch the setting to Home.

Original: Except for the fact that the remote has no home button anymore. It always opens the Apple TV+ app. Otherwise I agree though, ad-free experience, best TV-box I ever owned.

  • Can the other people still use their own accounts like Apple does it? As in I just give my subscription to other accounts and that’s it. Nothing actually changes for them except that they have a subscription now.

  • This is not the death of artists but of studios. When creating movies will become cheap, movie studios will be the ones becoming unnecessary. But artists are the creatives who feed these tools and who now can create content on their own.

  • I get what the market gets, we pay the average for your age, experience and some other factors. So I get a bump anyway since I am older and have more experience every year and when the market gets a bump that adds to that. So it is somewhere between 5-15% per year. Except for this year where somehow the average pay went down and I got zilch. Still the company is fully owned by its employees (I make like 3k a year from dividends, not a lot but it is basically free money) and the benefits are great. So not eager to jump ship just for a pay increase.

  • Maybe not a GUI but using a TUI (lazygit) I am certain that I can do everything faster than you could ever do using the CLI. Tbf if a GUI Tool had the same shortcuts it would also be faster.

  • Yes and yes, theoretically you can somehow get single GPU passtrough working but it was never a clean solution for me. CPU and RAM must be shared though.

I am running a 4070 Ti and a 4060 Ti (for the VM trough Looking Glass) and a 5800X3D of which 6 cores and 24GB of RAM go to the VM. Allows me to play any modern AAA game at 1440p perfectly fine. And since there are 2 GPUs I can still use Gnome and run programs like Discord on Linux. But I only use the VM if wine/proton can’t run it.
