Depends on what I'm reading, but I prefer side-loading to my Kobo Libra via Calibre-web. I'm currently taking advantage of a Kindle Unlimited sale and that means I'm reading on an older Android tablet, my phone, or if I'm feeling organized, a Kindle Oasis.
When I do read on my phone, maybe something from Project Gutenberg or Smashwords, it's Librera Reader FD - it's on F-Droid and it's awesome.
If you can, try and find a semi-dedicated reading device as it'll let you focus on what you're reading. The biggest downside to your phone is that you can do other things - like checking Lemmy.

I've been following this thread and it's been your comments that I need to remove. I applaud your willingness to have the discussion and learn but this is not the place. I can't mod this discussion enough to keep people safe and it's dreadfully off topic. I don't know where the best place is to have this conversation but it's not here.
I know I'm being heavy handed here. This is such a sensitive topic and I am trying to err on the side of keeping people safe. If there was a better way to handle it, I'm open to the discussion.
This is turning into a cesspit of toxicity rather than a discussion. This doesn't necessarily break a rule but I can't see how it's helpful beyond letting people vent negativity.
What made you switch to a different app on the Kobo?
