I haven't listened in a few months, so now I'm nervous that there won't be any cute, terrified new kids this year lol.

Either way, it's a good station. Enjoy!

EDIT Listening now. We're good... Mathea B. seems pretty flustered 😅

  • I will never in my life spell "maitenence" correctly without spellcheck/autocorrect.

  • My university's college radio station runs the full gamut of what you described. It's kind of interesting how they do it.

Broadcasting students get to have a show after completing certain core courses. They begin over summer, when listenership is very low. Listening to the station in late June/early July is adorable. I should actually tune in today, now that I'm thinking about it, because it's around time for all the baby broadcasters to be doing their beginner shows.

Students must have the option to end their show at some point, because a lot of student broadcasters just kinda disappear. Others, though, will stay on for 2 or 3 years as they finish their degree. Some of them become VERY good.

  • Yep! You can listen live to whatever is hosted on there. It's definitely not everything, but I bet a solid 75% of US-based radio stations are on there. Can't speak much to non-US radio, but I have listened to some stuff out of Germany before.

Another cool one is the site n10.as. It's a volunteer radio station out of Toronto (I think). It's primarily reruns these days, but there are still some folks doing live shows.

  • Death metal, experimental metal, vaporwave/mallsoft, witch house, and experimental punk.

I've been listening to a lot of Cavalera Conspiracy and Voivod lately. Polysics are pretty fun, too. Luxury Elite is a reliable vaporwave choice.

  • I listen to my local college radio station, as well as a handful of others on TuneIn. It's nice having an idea of what people under 30 are into.

  • I hope you fuckers like intellectual discourse about 80s ski movies, cuz @hrimfaxi_work's comin'!

  • 😂 That's actually great. There's bound to be a gearhead-themed health monitor app already, right? If not, I bet if you made one you'd get several downloads. Dozens, maybe.

  • What's stopping you from switching to iPhone?

My lack of desire to switch to iPhone.

  • Yeah, I don't think t-shirts are necessarily bigtime tailoring candidates, but pretty much all pants are!

I currently have a brand of OTR pants that fit me nicely, so I don't have every single pair of pants I buy tailored. But the difference is noticeable when I do have a pair done. I like Levis 514 jeans, but they're cut for wider hips than I posess. A little take-in and maybe a different hem length drastically changes the way I look in jeans. It adds a tidiness that makes them more versatile.

  • It varies. You can find some very affordable tailors that do really good work. It depends a lot on what you want done. Take in a shirt? Maybe $30. Tons of alterations on a suit jacket? Could be $150+. It really depends.

I've found that a good tailor is worth every penny, though. I have many 20 year old clothing items that still look good and aren't overly worn because they fit well.

  • Something I accidentally did for myself as an adolescent is get a tailor. I cannot recommend enough!

Your clothes look nicer, but they also last a lot longer when they're altered to work with your body instead of against it.

  • I was born scrolling by without saying meowdy.
