I love this! I just cannot wait for the day that I can build a RISC or ARM64 desktop in the same way we would an Intel or AMD one. I realize though that this is still a ways out.
I hope they stick with it and not go back to Microsoft. No doubt that there will be a learning curve and some growing pains but this is ultimately for the best. I wish them all of the success!
You have to kind of hope though that your prospective employer does not use a company like HireRight to do a background investigation that includes references and may ask for W2s as proof. On another note, fuck HireRight. They're fascists.
Companies and business owners lie to people and their employees all the time, you have no moral requirement to be honest with them either. Everybody lies to get ahead, it’s fine.
It's a shame that it's come to this, but you're absolutely right @BettyWhiteInHD@lemmy.world . One does what they must to get by.
There used to a be a reddit sub where you could post a a request for references and random people would offer to help. I don't know if such a thing exists in lemmy land. Could you ask a neighbor?
Good suggestion all around but I am huge fan of ERPnext. ERPnexr is 100% open source and includes HRM, accounting, a help desk ticketing system and more.
Well as they say, every dog has their day. It could be that the driver is just having a shitty day and we all have them. I try to be empathetic. As long as the guy isn't spouting out hatred and biogtry, they'll just get a reduced tip. I've been known to give even bigger tips to delivery drivers that are just plain awesome.
Given that gasoline is high and many pizza places pay pathetic sums of money, I always give 30% unless the driver was just plain rude and then I reduce it to 20%.
Thank you your answer. I mean there is something to be said for, "If it ain't broke don't fix it." My setup is not broken. I can play my favorite Steam/Proton games without issue. So maybe I am just over-thinking it.
What level of Linux user do you consider yourself to be? I dunno, I guess if you are attracted to the Debian way of doing things, check out Linux Mint Debian Edition. If you want more control over your system and consider yourself intermediate to advanced, go with Arch. I finally settled on Arch and as long as they keep doing good work, I am going to stay with it.
Fuck it! I don't give a shit. Let its profit fall. Its already making a shit ton of money per year. How about forcing the CEO to take a goddamned pay cut!
