  • That's where you're wrong kiddo. The downvotes are because you are jumping to conclusion about lolis and other sexualization.

The fascination with child personas for most anime fans are just that. It's cute. The same ways dogs are cute, and cats are cute. I really doubt they have a fetish on children, although there are some that do. I really don't think it's right to mash them all together.

  • The primary reason is Russian Imperialistic dream of restoring the Soviet Union.

Reasoning that a country can invade another country just because it feels insecure is insane. Not to mention that the border would become even closer, because now Russia would be expandee.

The baltic states are already close AF to primary population centers to have serios damage. Not to mention that Finland is also now NATO. Why didn't Russia invade them also?

  • For a Chill Dude I do love your fire! Your thesis is (was before I entered the chat) clear as day. I really don't have much to add here. Unless this might be interesting:

There is a fun thing that arised from moving towards SI units in my country (1920). Some old information was lost from the common citizen. There was a unit Gorčius (around 4 litres). There was another unit Saikas (equals to 6 Gorčius). The funny part is that we have a saying "Gerk su saiku" which translates "Drink in moderation". Taking it literally, it's slightly funny knowing that the other person just suggested you to drink around 20 litres (usually alcohol is the context).

  • Literally the first thing on wikipedia: The cubit is an ancient unit of length based on the distance from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger.

I'm pretty sure the dude is trying to say that the measurement is not accurate. I'm not surprised that it could be accurate and standartized from one town to the next. As soon as the first dissagreement starts, it's gonna get standartized. Otherwise it's useless as unit.

Meter has a bonus that it doesn't allow people to use his body parts for almost precise measurement. Actually blocks a lot of retards from saying "Nuh uh, I myself measured it, so I'm right and your ruler is wrong!"

Now when I think of it, Cubit is more or less exactly like the inch. It doesn't match basically anyones finger, different countries had their own standard. You can and many people do use it as a measurement. Side-effect, seeing memes about Napoleon being a dwarf. XD

  • I have had the exact same idea, ever since I found out about fediverse. It's just difficult to find ways to trust of the network. Never managed to think of a way for easy self-moderation. Money does bring an insane perversion to try and game the system.

I'm guessing the federation part if done correctly with moderation might bring more trust to the network. Since this is an idea about physical commerce, I'm guessing that having a "store" gps location could be useful for partitioning the network node search priority. Highest chance that you would like to buy from your neighbour and not from across the continent first. Otherwise with the amount of items that will be scanned is nightmare-ish.

Somewhere in the comments there is a mention about dropping crypto as a source of trust. If the store needs trust of a user, it doesn't sound unreasonable to have your national identity there.

Other source of trust and identity, could be friends. It's easy to trust direct friends and friend of friend. Knowing that it most likely will have up to 5 jumps, that could be a way to "check" if you are trusted on the network. That does bring the bootstrapping problem

Hope my ramblings will be somewhat useful.

  • My argument was much simplier than that. Mostly that some history shows, that once people are taught to hate a certain class of people, they will commit atrocities (after reaching a position of power) to the said class of people.

Not gonna lie, I'm not exactly the smartest dude, and separation when the market ends and capitalism begins is still blurry. Sorry if it's not that clear what I'm trying to say.

  • I'm not a historian, but there is a part of history from my country, that is still told by the older folk. Soviet deportations to Siberia. It occured after the civil war. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_deportations_from_Lithuania

People who ignore history are prone to repeat it, or how the saying goes. I do wish for a more social future, where sin of greed is not rewarded, although I haven't actually heard about a revolution/change of structure, where heads did not roll of the ruling class.

There is something magical about dehumanization of certain people, to force violence upon them and not allowing to execute the final steps of lynching. I don't think it can be done.

  • Depending on the form I'm guessing. But in the early days of the soviet union. Most of the farm owners (rich people back then) were shipped out to siberia. Their farms converted to cooperatives. Wouldn't exactly call it nothing.

Also I doubt that people after a successful revolution will keep themselves from lynching the capitalist class :D
