That screenshot looks like the old screenshots from the early browser wars with 20 toolbars stacked.

Man, it should. But far too often, people don’t realize that Google uses every data they have related to you for ad targeting.

Additionally, that info will be used to inform ads the Google serves to you across its ad delivering products.

I have good insurance. I pay $20 per paycheck for my wife’s coverage. Our typical visit costs 20-35 depending. Our medications cost 10-20 per 3 month supply.

Most people don’t have insurance this good.

It is #1.

I say this having traveled around the world to experience everything from extreme poverty to extreme wealth.

By most measures, the US is still the best place to live for a vast majority of everyone.

I’ll say the same thing I say at the airport.

Yes. I hate advertising companies.

I buy devices like Apple TV to replace the built in shitty smart tv functionality on smart tvs. I do not want ads so I do not connect my tv to the internet, and instead connect my streaming box.

They want me to buy a streaming stick from an advertising company and tell me it is going to be the experience that I’ve been looking for? Yeah… no.

This will either be canceled or enshittified immediately.

lol. That’s not how any of this works.

If you have content freely and publicly accessible, it will be read freely by humans and bots.

This is the answer.

Don’t buy a phone made by an advertising company if you don’t want everything you use it for to feed ads data.

Ignorance is bliss in respect to this question.

Unfortunately many of these platforms treat a block as an interaction.

Easily worth it. Supporting a customer friendly business model is how we keep nice things.

I’ve used both for years. iPhone is simply the better device compared to any Android phone I’ve tried, including Pixel and other high end phones.

iOS is a better OS for me. I’m a software eng, and so I’m able to do all sorts of things to androids, and some things to iOS, but at the end of the day I want my phone to work and that’s it. I don’t tinker in my free time because I tinker all day at work.

As others have mentioned, the Apple ecosystem is pretty fantastic.

Finally, I’d rather buy hardware/software from a hardware/software company than an advertising company.

Running Kamala would be making the same mistake they made back in 2016. She is polarizing, and extremely unlikeable. Anyone that worked with her or her department when she was in law in CA has nothing but bad things to say about her.

Running Kamala would be giving Trump a second term.
