I always make car dealers take their own sticker or badge off of any vehicle I buy.
I usually offer to keep the advertising in place, in exchange for a discount, but they never take me up on it.
While the Sky voice and a version of ChatGPT Voice have been around for some time, the comparison to Johansson became more obvious due to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and many others, drawing the similarity between the new AI model and the movie "Her".
When your CEO inadvertently helps build a copyright suit against your product... Not a good look.
What's worse is that we really liked the first episode but there's just very little time for TV in our lives. We can carve out enough time for a movie occasionally, but a whole series just won't get watched for like another year (unless it is more Loki.)
The fact that they feel the need to advertise this means they know they fucked up. And, IMO, they did.
I'm a pretty diehard fan but I gave up trying to watch everything. My spouse doesn't want to watch The Marvels because we haven't seen all of Ms. Marvel. I forget where Daredevil even left off. I feel like I would need to read a plot synopsis to even follow what is going on. Its a bit of a mess.
Accountability time: No "maybe" about it.. You didn't follow the instructions and then you say it didn't work for you. Well of course not. You never gave it a chance.
This is like buying a nailgun and then ignoring all safety warnings, you use it like a hammer and accidentally shoot your kneecap with it. So you call it defective and return it to the store, telling everyone hammers work better for you. Okay, maybe that's a strained analogy.
Ahh, I see how it could be interpreted that way. I'll just pretend this is asked in good faith, despite it being just an off-topic rhetorical jab at the state of the US government.
Why can't they regulate capitalism when it comes to important shit.
The US government can do this (as opposed to your favored issues) for two reasons: 1) This is executive action by the Biden administration, not requiring Congress. 2) This is inherently uncontroversial, even popular. 81% of Americans have an unfavorable view of China. It is one of the few things Americans agree on with such strong bi-partisan support, thereby making China an easy punching-bag for campaign season.
Further, I would contest the assertion that the Biden administration isn't also doing those other things, to the extent that is feasible, given the currently widely divided state of our government.
To be fair, they really originated elsewhere, but Germany certainly has cockroaches. I think Germany is probably too cold for them to be a big problem, though.
