I'm running it on my laptop, has skylake i5 ulv with 8 gigs of ddr3 and a tlc micron ssd with slackware linux installed (no docker, manual server config).
Mine is selfhosted as well. I enabled many engines (Google, Bing, DDG, Yahoo, Naver, Qwant, Brave, a few more) and a single search query takes about 8 to 10 seconds. I have pretty fast internet connection, it would be great if I can make it faster lol. I'm using DDG when I need a quick search due to that.
I also run a personal wiki, but instead of MediaWiki I chose DokuWiki as it's much lighter and uses plaintext instead of databases for storing information. It fits me well and there are plenty of plugins as well.
Not sure which ports are required for your usage but maybe cloudflared would work?
It works on the free tier as well, you can install cloudflared on your linux/windows server (no BSD support afaik).
Freenom's domains are pretty unstable, they lost management for .ga domains last year and they often claim others' free domain when they have high usage.
though if you have unstable network I won't suggest self hosting fediverse stuff.
Back when I used cracks often the cracks were small keygens and sometimes a patched main exe/dll, so I could just generate the key in a vm/sandboxed environment and inspect the patched binary, usually they did nothing weird.
Huge repacks are often very sketchy though..
Nowadays there are many great FOSS alternatives so I tend to use them more.
I like it, but I would prefer a local program to do this, or something like a userscript...
ik firefox readermode does this but i use seamonkey and don't have this kind of thing, so I only disable image and javascript (css when needed) which kinda gives me a broken layout
sadly barinsta development stalled over a year ago and in my case I get banned every time I use the app and need to do weird captchas on the official site.
On what hardware do you run 9front?
