Honestly more likely reason is that he was diagnosed with Asperger's before DSM-5, which was released only 12 years ago, and is just more comfortable with the term over autism which is unfortunately often used in a derogatory manner.

I think dead people don't need their skins. Maybe expand to prisoners, and maybe allow poor people sell their skins for example to fund their children's education etc.

During war times would be very good for the markets to allow skinning deceased soldiers or civilians, this would promote use of some chemical weapons that cause the enemy to asphyxiate or whatever in favour of terrible weapons that rip humans apart.
